Something Old and Something New

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

Since my computer is working again I am slowly getting my website back to normal. (Normal for me that is)  That being said,  have added new photos from my recent visit to Hawaii as well as uploading images that I had on my old gallery.  It’s starting to feel like home again!

Things Are Getting Back To Normal

Sunday, July 26th, 2009

Well, alt least for me.  I have been having, oh let’s just call them difficulties with the way that I show off my artwork.  First I was using Coppermine Photo Gallery which was working very nicely until I deleated the wrong file, then it didn’t work too well.  Then I decided to start from scratch and have a full content managemet system run both my blog and my gallery.  I really didn’t care for that as I had to use some third party plugins that were a bit klunky.  Then I decided that I would start from scratch.  Yeah, that’s the ticket!  So I did.  I designed a new site ( I know it’s a bit drab, but I like it!) and set up a new Coppermine Gallery to hold all my stuff.  After all it worked well before, I just have to remember to not mess around with the code on the server!!!

Now all I have to do is upload all my images again.  At least I have a new hobby!

P.S.  For those of you that complained that my “Artguy” icon had been removed I have added it to the background.  Enjoy!

Finally!

I am back!  Not that I went anywhere, only my computer did.  A couple of weeks a go I turned on my ever faithfull pc and all I got was a blank screen.  Oh crap!  I was able to back up everything that I had on it so it wasn’t that bad.  I just had to pay to get it fixed and now I have the fun job of re-installing my applications.

In the great scheme of things it wasn’t all that bad.

The Old Ways

Last week my computer died on me.  Thank goodness I had a back-up!  Anyway, it gave me the perfect excuse to do some much needed drawing.  Actually it’s more than just a bit of drawing and if I keep up the way I am I should have a book ready in the following months.  At least that is my plan and I’ve never had to stop what I was doing because my pencil wouldn’t reboot!

Being unemployed doesn’t mean that I’m out of work. :D

Here Comes the Fourth

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

Well the Fourth of July holiday is coming up in a couple of days.  Since I messed up my back again last weekend, I’m planning to take it easy. So I’m going to find myself spending time with family and friends.  I hope the rest of you will do the same.

Happy Fourth! :D
